Maps
I have now added maps of my trip. They are just static maps that are a rough guesstimate of my path for the time being. When i get a
chance I will do the real things.

Let me know what you think about this. If anyone has the time to measure out how far it is go for it. I know it isnt a short distance especially not in 63days but we will see how it goes.

I will be flying into Auckland, heading south, getting a ferry from Wellington to the South island, coming back on the ferry and heading up the East coast, meeting Nee and Adz and Elli in Gisbourne, riding with Adz to Rotorua, spending a few days in Rotorua then heading North right to the top then back into Auckland for a few days before flying out.

I will be coming into the South island via the ferry at Picton (in the North) and travelling in a coutner-clockwise direction. i still haven't done distance calculations on this route but you can see it covers a bit of ground.
The dark blue is my intended path. The light blue is the optional extras.
In the near future I will put up a map with the day to day transistions and the dates and stuff for you.
Have fun.

This is going to be a truly insane journey. I'm stoked that I will be a (small) part of it! I'm seriously excited, been researching heaps of shit for our trip... and it's 4 months away!
Hmm... also I did another calculation. I think our journey is probably going to be closer to 500km, considering the winding roads and hills.
Let me know when we can do some training (up Mt Coot-tha) :)
